Rebekah's Story of Determination
In 2005 Rebekah had both her legs run over by a car during a training ride.
She received a patella fracture and severe compartment syndrome (damage to the
muscle sheath) of both quadraceps.
She was told by her physician that it was unlikely that she would be able to
compete again, due to the extent of damage.
Rebekah focused on her rehabiliation and continued training for several
years. In 2007 she won the Port Macquarie Ironman! |
